Attendee display for technical support

The Attendee display presents important status information about the attendee and allows the host to facilitate attendee participation.

In the technical support mode, the Attendee display webcam preview is disabled and it does not allow sharing attendee webcams in the Adobe Connect meeting room.

1. Hand raise status

The hand icon on the Attendee display indicates the attendee has raised his or her hand using either the Raise Hand option in the Adobe Connect Status menu or the hand icon in the Vantage Point Hands Up pod.

The lower left corner of the Attendee display indicates the attendee's status as indicated through the Adobe Connect Status menu or the in the Vantage Point Hands Up pod. Here are the status indicators and their translation

3. Audio connection status

The icon in upper right corner of of the Attendee display indicates the attendee's audio connection status. A handset icon indicates the attendee is connected by phone. A microphoneindicates the attendee is connected through his or her computer (VoIP). A red line through the icon indicates the attendee's audio device is muted.

Hovering over the lower right corner of the Attendee display will reveal the Move to Breakout Room icon. See "Managing Breakout Rooms Using the Vantage Point Console" for detailed information

Hovering over the lower right corner of the Attendee display will reveal the Pin icon. See "Can I pin an attendee to the front of the display list?" for detailed information

6. Host or presenter indicator

An icon to the left of an attendee's name indicates host  or presenter status. Hover over the icon to display the attendee's status.

7. Attendee name and information

The Attendee display presents the attendee's name as it appears on the Adobe Connect Attendees list. Changes to an attendee's name in the Attendees list using the Attendees menu Attendee Options >>> Edit User Info ...  option are immediately reflected in the VP Attendee display.

Click on the Attendee information button to open the Attendee information panel. See the "Attendee information panel" article for details.

The color of the Attendee information button provides attendee latency information according to following scale:

  • White - normal
  • Orange - 2 to 5 seconds of latency
  • Red - over 5 seconds of latency

Duplicate attendee indicator

If an attendee has joined the meeting more than once, a red and white duplicated attendee icon will appear on the bottom of the Attendee display. To remove the duplicate attendee see "How do I remove a duplicated attendee?"
