Vantage Point with HandsUp & rPhone audio conferencing solutions, for Adobe Connect HTML5

One pod, many possibilities

Now that Flash has reached it’s end of life and Adobe Connect has released it’s new HTML5 Standard view, the Refined Data Vantage Point, Hands Up and rPhone pods have been consolodated into one central pod and redesigned to work seamlessly in this environment.

Download Vantage Point - ADD VIDEO ON HOW TO INSTALL

Drag zip to shared folder

Auto renew instead of cancel

Once the account is registered.

  • For rPhone - need to setup a ZipDx account and add Audio Provider

  • Need to capture all relevent details for setting

    • Create account name

    • Add meeting domain (should pull from in-room reg)

    • Welcome message is the pop up message for VP - Save and then locate the account again from account list

    • Select meeting tab. (make sure default message is added)

    •  

Inside Meeting Room:

  1. Install the pod inside your meeting room by droping the full Vantage Point zip file into a share pod. If HandsUp, size the pod according to your layout

  2. Complete registration if prompted to do so (new customers)

  3. IMPORTANT: Go into new layout and add in manually to each layout you are using

    1. Click share - select VantagePoint.zip and add/size to all layouts.

    2. recommend click 3 dots and force presenter view - so that if fullscreen is activated the participants can force it to get feedback

    3. hiding title bar can have a cleaner display with no title

Using Breakouts?

Have to make sure that the VP file is in the right location and manually added to each

FIrst time you start breakouts, if never used breakouts before, breakouts are duplicated of layout you were on

Without the flash component, we need to take some steps to setup your templates

Duplicating versions of zip, breakouts create duplicate

Hide pod then start breakouts

Then I move my user to each breakout

Set it in a template then create meetings from template and it will be set

Attendee Pod:

 

  1. Breakouts: Attendee / Breakout ROom view/ Start - 3 breakouts it replicates the pods to all threww breakouts (duplicates contents) Best to start breakouts without VP

  2. Attendee on every layout. Even in Presenter Only area.

rPhone Meeting Setup:

Audio conference settings - select profile, select MIC access, uncheck provide dial in details / dial out / show audio conference dialog (to allow Audio Wizard) and uncheck start audio conference automatically

FOR BREAKOUTS.

  • Have to pick a host in the meeting to designate as the “synch host” who executes all the commands on behalf of VP -

  • Synch host - will control the attendee pod like a virtual robot. Can be a real person.

  • Until Adobe Gives ability to do programatically

VP Console:

  • Ensure conference started from VP console and not the Adobe Connect meeting settings this will recognize the profile and authenticate with ZipDx
