Best Practices for Environment Setup - Participants
Configure your system
- Obtain and connect the hardware you’ll need for the meeting: headset with microphone, supported webcam, phone (avoid the use of speaker phone).
Wireless headsets and connecting through a USB hub are not recommended. - Install the most up to date version of your browser and ensure it is correctly configured to allow Flash for Adobe Connect through the browser’s advanced settings. Click here for further instructions.

Prepare to enter the meeting room
- It is strongly recommended to use a hardwired Ethernet connection.
Close any VPN connections and connect to the Internet directly.
Try to have the Adobe Connect meeting room as the only application running when attending a session.
In the Meeting Room
- Run the Adobe Connect Audio Wizard immediately upon entering the meeting room.
- Insert your USB devices directly to your system before you launch the meeting room. If you connect a USB device (microphone, camera or headset) during a meeting, you must exit and re-launch the meeting for Adobe to recognize the device.
- When muting your audio use the mute functionality in the meeting room, as opposed to locally on our own device.
