Roles and Security Settings

Security settings determine access, permissions and data visibility for the Refined Data application ad roles are configured with a specific set of these security settings and assigned to individuals based on their job title and accountability.

 

Security Settings:

Work on 3 layers:

  1. Role / Module security: Determines the module access and the level of access for the module

Admin: Can access Administration U/I for that module

Read/Write: Can edit data and records within that module

Read: Can only view data and records within that module

Default Dashboard:

Dashboard configurations are also setup in the admin U/I to determine which dashboards are available for that role.

The other settings determine further configuration

Admin: Whether the role is administration - this gives same access as an administrator and used to distinguish between system admins.

Can see all properties: can see all the properties in the system
