Audio Wizard

The Audio Wizard streamlines the process of joining the audio conference whether you prefer to join using your computer, a phone or just listen to the meeting. Before attendees can join the audio conference the meeting host must start the audio. See "Starting conference audio" for details.

Note: Telephony options are available only if 1) the rPhone pod is installed in the meeting room and 2) the room is configured with a valid audio profile.

Opening the Audio Wizard

If you're the meeting host and you have just started the audio conference, the Audio Wizard will pop up automatically after the audio bridge has been connected.

Hosts can open the Audio Wizard at any time by clicking on the white phone icon on the top menu bar:

Attendees can open the Audio Wizard by clicking on the Audio Wizard button on the top menu bar. The Audio Wizard button is not available if you're already connected to conference audio.

Once the Audio Wizard opens, select the "Join Using My Computer" tab.

Select your microphone

Click on the microphone menu to display all active microphones (including those on a headset) and click on the one you want to use.

Click "Join Conference Audio" and you will be connected via the selected microphone.

The green microphone icon on the top toolbar indicates you are connected to the audio conference via your computer and your microphone is live.

1) To mute your microphone, click on the microphone icon.

2) To manage your audio, click on the dropdown menu icon to the immediate right of the microphone icon. This will open the Audio Panel.

Joining the audio conference using a telephone

Select the "Join Using A Telephone" tab.

Note: The Join Using A Telephone option is available only if the rPhone pod is loaded in the Adobe Connect meeting room. See "What if the rPhone console does not appear?" for details.

Call me

If you would like the audio teleconference to call you, enter your phone number, extension (if any) and click on Call Me.

Make sure you have ready access to the phone. You will receive a call within seconds of requesting the call back.

Dial in to the conference

To dial into the teleconference, click the "I prefer to dial into the conference" link. Dial the displayed number and enter the conference code indicated on your screen. Enter your unique identifier (in this example *5 2 #) on your keypad to identify yourself to the Connect session.

You can use either a standard landline or a "soft phone" such as Google Voice to connect to the audio conference.

I'll just listen

If you just want to listen to the conference audio click the"I'll just listen" button in the lower left corner of either tab.

If you choose to just listen you will not be able to participate in the audio conversation. To rejoin conference audio using your computer or a phone, simply reopen The Audio Wizard as described in the first step above.
