Configuring rPhone for a licensed Adobe Connect server

It's fairly straightforward to configure the Adobe Flash Media Gateway to enable Universal Voice to work with a licensed Adobe Connect server.

Your on-premise version of Connect comes bundled with Flash Media Gateway (FMG). Once you have FMG installed, here are some configuration details to make it talk to ZipDX. Of course we'll need to create an account for you with ZipDX to make all of this function. Please provide me with the company information and billing details for the organization that will be paying the charges for the usage of the system so I can create your account.

This screenshot is from some time ago and it might be that a newer version of FMG looks a bit different, but hopefully these instructions will work.

We are configuring FMG to use ZipDX as the SIP provider (so there is no need for a separate SIP provider). See settings below (from the //localhost:8510/console), Flash Media Gateway Settings tab, Server Configurations Tab. One adjustment in the screenshot below – for the “Username” instead of “zx-AofAConnectPro” I will need to set you up with your own username like “DJAConnect” once I have created an account for you.

Use the SIP address and ports shown below. If you have a choice of UDP or TCP, use UDP.

If there is a firewall that would otherwise block these connections, you’ll need to open the following DESTINATIONS:

IP addresses: 166.88.23.0/24 (west coast server) and 76.74.151.96/27 (east coast server)

Ports: 5060 and 10000 through 14999

Protocol: UDP

Note that since we are connecting with your Flash Media Gateway, when you set up the Audio Provider for the meeting rooms, you can use the USA telephone number 888-947-3985 for testing.

Once you have the initial config working, we'll build our own special Audio Provider profile on the account using the page at http://rphone.refineddata.com/register/audio.php

Regards,

Terry

Now, you should be able to follow the “standard” instructions for setting up an Audio Provider. You can tell it to dial 888-947-3985 and it will happily connect to the ZipDX bridge.
