The new version of Adobe Connect 11 introduces a new interface for hosts and participants. It also provides an HTML5 environment as it’s new Standard View.

Enabling custom pods in the HTML environment:

RDS Custom Pods: Hands Up and rPhone are available in an HTML5 version which will work in Adobe Connect’s Classic and Standard environments, with the host in Classic View. We have provided the following document to provide the recommended configuration for your Adobe Connect meetings for optimal performance of our RDS pods.Enabling custom pods in the HTML environment:

Classic vs Standard view:

The classic view continues to support the flash environment. If you are using Talking Stick, Cachet or Vantage Point you want to ensure that Classic view is the only option selected for both the application and browser interface. Talking Stick and Cachet will not be updated and will continue to work for as long as the Classic view is available in Adobe Connect.

Vantage PointBy 2021, Vantage Point will be available for both Standard and Classic view. Until then, it is essential to ensure both hosts and presenters are in classic view

Until the HTML Version is released, in late Q4 2020, all users in your meetings must operate in the “Classic” view in both the desktop app and browser. It is important to disable the “Standard View” for both as users who join in this mode will not be able to run Vantage Point.

Hands Up and rPhone:

Hands Up and rPhone requires require that the at least one host is in Classic View, but the . Other hosts, presenters and participants can be in either Standard or Classic view. To use Hands up, it is recommended that your host have the Adobe Connect application and that it is configured for Classic View, The best practice is to have all hosts using the Classic View in the Desktop application, configured like this:
