Accessing the Diagnostic Tool and Diagnostic Results

The Diagnostic Tool is readily available to help detect potential system, network and browser issues that may impact a participant's Adobe Connect Meeting experience. The tool can be used prior to a session to ensure that the environment is best configured to run Adobe Connect, or during a session, if they experience any issues that negatively impact the meeting. This diagnostic tool is easy to use and doesn't disrupt the Adobe Connect environment if a participant chooses to run the test during a live session. 


Accessing the Diagnostic Tool

The direct URL for the Diagnostic Tool is: https://vantagepoint.refineddata.com/diagnostic/?autostart=true

The Diagnostic Tool can also be embedded in your meeting invitations and workflows making it readily accessible to participants prior to and/or during a session. The results will be sent to the My RDS Dashboard by default, referenced by the associated Adobe Connect Meeting Room and participant email. When embedding the diagnostic tool into your existing workflows, the following URL can be used to dynamically populate the meeting room and participant email:

https://vantagepoint.refineddata.com/diagnostic/?autoStart=true&url=rds.adobeconnect.com/meetingroom&email=email@email.com 

Alternatively, instructors/support staff using the tool during a session can customize the Diagnostic Tool URL manually to include the Adobe Connect Meeting Room and the participants' email address.

In both cases, the Meeting Room and Email will be auto-populated when sending the results.

For Refined Training Clients:

Refined Training LMS clients can easily incorporate the Diagnostic Tool into their meeting reminders to support participants in running the tool on their system prior to a session.  Simply add the following link/tag to your email reminder templates which will dynamically populate the meeting details and participant email to facilitate these steps for end users:

Using the Diagnostic Tool to identify and address potential issues with participants is an ideal way to ensure an optimal experience.


How to address issues

When issues are detected in the Diagnostic Tool, participants have the opportunity to click on the warning icon and be directed to the Issue Resolution Documentation for steps that can be taken to resolve the specific issue. This documentation is also available from the link at the bottom of the Diagnostic Tool and can be useful for Support Staff / Virtual Producers / Hosts in supporting participants during live sessions.

Accessing the Diagnostic Tool Results - MyRDS

The Diagnostic Tool results can be accessed from the Vantage Point Dashboard.
