A portal designed for Refined Risk users to access and download insurance reports contained in the Refined Risk platform.
The following document outlines the steps to be taken for a Refined Risk administrator to group properties / reports for a given underwriting period and access these reports for insurance renewals.

Underwriting Periods Page

This page contains a list of underwriting periods with a start and end date for a specific underwriting period, as defined by an administrator.

Each list item contains a title, description and dates representing the start and end of the underwriting period.

Each underwriting period further displays reports/records and documents relevant to the property(s) and reporting period defined.

To create a new Underwriting Period, click the  add button in the bottom right.

Once saved you will go to the Properties Page for that Underwriting Period.

Properties Page

The properties page contains a list of all properties in the Refined Risk system. Each list item contains the property number, name, city and province.

  • Green circle represents active properties
  • Grey circle represents inactive properties
  • Black circle represents deleted properties

From this screen, Administrators can select the properties to be included for this underwriting period.  Filters can be applied to simplify this process (see below)

Filters

The filter button on the top right will filter the list of properties by status, owner, type, location to simplify property selection for that underwriting period.

  • Administrators can include or exclude properties from an underwriting period by checking or unchecking the checkbox to the left of the property. The option to select all displayed properties is available at the top of the list.

Note: The Attachment Date filter option will add an additional filter to the proceeding report screen for administrators to only view/download reports that were added within the provided date range.  This is to support view/download of reports that were added after the initial renewal download.

Users Page

Controlled access to the Insurance Portal can be given directly to Insurance Brokers or other users. This will allow brokers to take the steps to review, access and download all reports directly as needed.  To provide access, the user must already have an account in the Refined Risk system.  These same credentials will apply for logging in to the Insurance Portal.

A user will need to be assigned to specific underwriting period to be able to view the reports contained.

  • Select an underwriting period and then click the users icon
  • This will open a screen with all users of the Refined Risk system.
  • Use the filters or search to locate specific user(s).

  • Click the checkbox to the left of the users) for assignment to this underwriting period.
  • Once logged in, this user(s) will only view/access the underwriting period they are assigned to.
